The deceased was born in Norfolk, but had resided here since he was an infant 2 years old. The youth at the time of his death was employed as a clerk in the yards of the Norfolk and Western Railroad Company at Lambert's Point. He was well-known in the community and was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and acquaintances, which will learn with sorrow of his untimely end. He was a dutiful son and his death is a severe blow to his mother, who, with three sisters and one younger brother that were almost entirely dependent upon him for a support. The funeral will be solemnized from the Presbyterian Church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock, and will be conducted by the Rev. D.D. Gilkerson. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
