Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday July 17,1942
Funeral services for Mrs. Markard, who died Wednesday morning at the residence 
of her daughter, Mrs. Johanna Bastian, 1450 West Twenty-seventh street, will 
be held in the funeral chapel of James F. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue, this 
afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. W.W. Grover, pastor of the Westminster 
Presbyterian Church, and the Rev. John Largent, pastor of the Glenwood 
Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
