Wingate and Mrs. Eva Lucille Marlowe, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 3:20 o'clock. Mr. Marlowe was a native of North Carolina and a resident of Norfolk for the past 24 years, residing at 125 West Eleventh street at the time of his death. Surviving him are two sons, Macie Vernon Marlowe, Jr., of California and Alfred Marlowe, of Norfolk; a daughter, Miss Lois Mae Marlowe, of Norfolk; three brothers, William M. Marlowe, of Portsmouth; E.C. Marlowe, of Wilmington, N.C. and James O. Marlowe, of Massachusetts and a sister, Mrs. Pearl Long, of Wilmington. Funeral services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock with the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church, officiating.
