Virginian Pilot November 29, 1978

Miss Anne Whiting Marr, 80, of 3810 Llewellyn Ave., retired librarian for the 
Norfolk County Medical Society and a native of Lexington, Va., died Monday in a 
hospital.
She lived here most of her life and was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Stuart Smith Jr. of Manassas and Mrs. John 
Dillard of Greensboro, N.C.; and four nephews, Martin Shaw Jr. of Asheville, 
N.C., Robert A. Shaw of Indiana, James Barrom Shaw of Atlanta and Charles P. 
Shaw of Greenville, N.C.
The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments for a funeral today at 2 
p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery.
