Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Marshall Hardy, 57, who died at her home, 858 
Henry St., on Wednesday of last week, were conducted from Hale’s Chapel, 
Saturday, January 26. Mrs. Marshall was born in Hixford VA., but had lived 
here a number of years. Survivors are her husband, Tom Hardy, and a son, Tom 
Hardy Jr. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. J. A. Young, D.D., 
in charge.

(Note: Obit name Janie Marshall Hardy,but further on in the obituary, Janie is 
called Mrs. Marshall. Death certificate name is Janie Marshall)
