Virginian Pilot August 16, 1900

Mrs. Jennie E. Marshall, wife of Capt. W.L. Marshall, after a brief illness, 
died yesterday morning at the home of her son-in-law, Mr. P.W. Paxson, near 
Oaklette, in the county, aged 49 years.  Besides a husband, she leaves two 
children to mourn her loss.  The funeral will be from the residence this 
afternoon at 4 o'clock.  The remains will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Jennie Marshall, wife of Capt. W.L. Marshall, 
who died at the residence or her son-in-law, Mr. Paxson, near Oaklette, was 
conducted from the residence yesterday afternoon by Rev. W.A. Slaymaker, 
pastor of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Her remains were laid to 
rest in Magnolia Cemetery.
