Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 8, 1917

Truitt Wilson Marshall, aged 23 years, son of Capt. and Mrs. Walter N. 
Marshall, died yesterday afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the residence of his 
parents, 107 Lee street, after a brief illness.  The deceased was well known 
and highly esteemed.  In addition to his parents, the deceased is survived 
by the following brothers and sisters:  Walter H. and Russell Sands Marshall 
and sisters, Misses Helen I., Ethel Vivian and Maud Alice Marshall.
The funeral services will be conducted at the residence Monday afternoon at 
4:30 o'clock by Rev. E.T Dadmun, pastor of Memorial Methodist Church, and 
burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.

Pallbearers at funeral service were Frank Marshall, Bruce Shafer, Albert 
Marshall, Jr., cousins; Leo Newberry, Leonard H. Newberry, uncles; and 
Raymond Wicks, Waverly Berkley and Allen Chamblin.
