The Rev. Argalious Elbert Martin, pastor of Redeemer Methodist Episcopal church 
in Brooklyn, NY, was buried in Calvary cemetery with military honors in 
graveside rites on Jan. 12.  Rev. Mr. Martin died in Brooklyn on Jan. 6.  
Services were held there at Redeemer Church on Jan. 11.

A retired Army chaplain with the rank of captain, having served in World War II 
Rev. Mr. Martin was a native of Trape, MD.  He was the husband of Mrs. Olivia 
Martin;  formerly of Norfolk.  Mrs. Martin is a daughter of the Rev. B. W. 
Harper of Norfolk.

Also surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Elbert D. Martin of 
Philadelphia;  one daughter, Miss Ella F. Martin of Philadelphia, one brother, 
Benjamin Martin of Baltimore and two grandchildren.

Riddick's Funeral Service handled local funeral arrangements.
