Harris, of Forest Hills, Long Island, N.Y. Mrs. Martin was born in Norfolk County, the daughter of the late Henry Clay and Sarah Fletcher Grinalds. She was a great-granddaughter of the late Capt. Jedediah Rogers of the Second Regiment of the Light Dragoons, of the Continental Army, who fought through the entire Revolutionary War. Her grandfather, Southy Grinalds, of Accomack County, served for many years as United States consul to Venezuela, appointed by President James E. Polk. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Monumental Methodist Church of Portsmouth. She is survived by a son, William Grinalds Martin, of Portsmouth; a daughter, Mrs. William P. Harris, of New York; a sister, Miss Sarah Jane Grinalds, of Berkley and four grandchildren. The body will arrive this morning and will be taken to the Sykes Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue, pending funeral arrangements. *********************************************************** Mrs. Charlotte Rogers Grinalds Martin - Funeral services for Mrs. Martin, widow of Alfred Thomas Martin, who died Friday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. William P. Harris, of Forest Hill, Long Island, N.Y., will be conducted in the Sykes Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley avenue, this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
