Martin, a former well known citizen of this place, died of pneumonia at his home, near Belhaven, N.C., yesterday morning. The deceased was 62 years old and leaves a widow and two children. Mr. Martin was a native of Pennsylvania, but lived here about twelve years. He was a Mason. The remains will arrive here this afternoon over the Norfolk and Southern and be interred in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. The funeral will be conducted from the residence of his brother-in-law, R.D. Grinalds, Wednesday afternoon. ********************************************************** The funeral of the late Alfred T. Martin, who died at his home near Belhaven, N.C., Monday morning, will be conducted from the residence of his brother-in- law, Richard D. Grinalds, this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence on Berkley avenue. The services will be conducted by Rev. W. Asbury Christian, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, and the interment will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery. The widow and two children of the deceased arrived yesterday with the remains.
