Martin, the little four-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. A.H. Martin, died yesterday at their residence on Berkley Avenue. The funeral will take place from the grave this afternoon at 4 o'clock in Magnolia Cemetery. ********* MARTIN - At the residence of his parents, in Berkley, Va., March 30th, 1896, MONROE M. MARTIN, son of Alvah M. and Mary E. Martin, aged 3 years, 11 months and 18 days. Burial service at Magnolia Cemetery TUESDAY, 31st instant, at 4 o'clock p.m. ************************************************************** AN AFFLICTED FAMILY Little Monroe, the four-year-old son of Mr. Alvah H. Martin, clerk of the county court, died Monday of bronchial pneumonia and was buried yesterday afternoon. At the same time Baby May, four months old, lay at death's door, struggling with the same disease and her life is despaired of. Then Mrs. Martin, ill with grief and worn out with long nursing of her children, is under the constant care of a doctor. Truly, troubles never come singly. *************** The many friends of Mr. A.H. Martin, Clerk of the Norfolk County Court, in this city and the county, extend to him and his wife their deep sympathy in his sad bereavement, over the loss of his child an the combined illness of his babe and wife.
