Barbara Faulkner Martin, 68, of the 1900 block of Sydenham Trail, entered into 
eternal rest Sunday, May 12, 2002. She was a teacher with the Isle of Wight 
School System for 18 years until her retirement. She was a member of New Central 
Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Martin Napper and husband William of 
Richmond; two sons, George Keith Martin and wife Anita of Richmond, and Marc D. 
Martin and wife Denise of Virginia Beach; six grandchildren; and a host of other 
relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at New Central Baptist Church. 
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 
7 to 8 p.m. today at Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake.
