The Virginian Pilot (Norfolk, Va.) Monday December 19, 1955


Mrs. Lalla R. Etheridge Martin, 81, widow of G.A. Martin and daughter of John 
Norfleet and Mrs. India Anna Hodges Etheridge, a lifelong resident of this 
section, died at the residence, 352 Hamilton Avenue, yesterday at 8:30 p.m.

She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

Surviving are two sons, William H. Martin and John G. Martin; a daughter, Mrs. 
Oliver D. Moots, Sr.; and two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and 
a sister, Miss Rosa Etheridge, all of Norfolk. 

The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, pending arrangements.
