Martin, son of the late Hon. J.G. Martin of Berkley, and brother of Mr. Alvah H. Martin. This sad event occurred at the family residence on Chestnut Street, Berkley, Friday night. The deceased was about 18 years of age and was a young man of great promise and his death will be long mourned by loving relatives and a large circle of friends to whom he was greatly endeared by his many noble and generous traits of character. ****************************************************************************** Funeral of Mr. James T. Martin The funeral services of this young man took place on Sunday morning at 11 o'clock from the Chestnut Street M.E. Church, Berkley, and were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. T. McN. Simpson. The remains were interred in the Berkley Cemetery. The following young gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Messrs. Waverly Berkley, John Hathaway Augustus Creecy, Thomas Parker, Jesse Davis, Thomas Jones.
