Virginian-Pilot June 3 & 4, 1942
Mrs. Annie E. Martin, 71, widow of William R. Martin, formerly a resident of 
Norfolk, but recently residing in Staten Island, N.Y., died at 7:30 o’clock last 
night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Richard F. Loper, at 108 Harris 
road, Cradock, after a short illness.
Mrs. Martin is survived by a son, E. J. Martin, of Staten Island, N.Y.; three 
daughters, Miss Virginia Martin, of Staten Island; Mrs. C. R. Pritchett, of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. R. F. Loper, of Cradock, and a granddaughter, Mrs. George W. 
Imel, Jr.
The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Home in Norfolk. Funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.

Mrs. Annie E. Martin - Funeral services for Mrs. Martin, widow of William R. 
Martin who died Tuesday at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Richard F. Loper, 
108 Harris road, Cradock, will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church this 
morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
