Ledger-Star  December 20, 1909
The funeral of Antonio C. Martin, aged 40 years, whose death occurred Friday at 
his home, 842 Church street, took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from 
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with services conducted by Rev. Father E. J. Walsh. 
During the services. Prof. E. J. Doran rendered as a solo the hymn, “Nearer My 
God to Thee.” The Eagles, of which the deceased was a member, were in attendance 
upon the funeral and there were many beautiful floral tributes. The interment 
was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The following were the pall¬bearers:
From the Eagles—I. E. Blondell, James H. Downing, James E. Prince and J. W. 
O’Connor.
Citizens—George Compere, S. J. Proscher, L. Shefsky and Jesse Seelby.
