Virginian-Pilot February 3, 1930
Mrs. Georgianna Alice Martin, widow of Col. George Alexander Martin, died at her 
residence, 62 Graydon park, yesterday morning at 5 o’clock. Mrs. Martin was a 
native and lifelong resident of this section. She is survived by one son, George 
Alexander Martin, Jr., of Tazewell; two daughters, Mrs. John Webster Freeman and 
Miss Theresa Martin, both of Norfolk, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 
o’clock, the Rev E. C. Kiefer, or Sacred Heart Catholic Church, of which she was a 
consistent member, officiating. Interment will be private in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
