Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, May 29, 1992 
Walter ``Old Fisherman'' Martin Sr., of the 2500 block of Tait Court, a retired
shipfitter, died May 28, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Martin was born in Norfolk. He had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard
after 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil J. Martin; and a son, Walter Martin Jr. of
Norfolk.

The graveside service will be at noon Saturday in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing
will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Riddick Funeral Service. Friends may join the
family at the residence.
