Mrs. Mascarinas, a native of Tubigon, Bohol, Philippines, was a retired public school teacher in the Philippines after 20 years. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, and the widow of Teofilo A. Mascarinas Sr. Survivors include four daughters, Adelaida M. Lopez and Dr. Thelma C. Mascarinas, both of Virginia Beach, Teresita C. Mascarinas of Jersey City, N.J., and Fe M. Paco of Suffolk; four sons, Dr. Teofilo C. Mascarinas Jr., of Virginia Beach, and Constantino C. Mascarinas, Arturo C. Mascarinas and Cesar C. Mascarinas, all of the Philippines; two brothers, Mauricio C. Cano and Olimpio C. Cano, both of the Philippines; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by Father Canice Welsh. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements. A Christian wake will be held at 7 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Operation Smile of Norfolk.
