The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark May 4, 1931
Ernest Lee Mason, aged 67, died at his residence, 108 West Sixteenth street, 
yesterday morning at 10:50 o'clock. Mr. Mason was a native and lifelong 
resident of Norfolk. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Annie Mason 
Culpepper; four grandchildren, Mrs. John R. Watkins, Mrs. Frances Eanes, Ernest 
L. Moore and Shirley Hope Culpepper, and three great-grandchildren. Funeral 
services will be held at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. 
Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
