Deacon Edward L. Mason, of 732 Jefferson St., who died Jan. 27, was buried 
from the First Baptist Church on Jan. 30. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Mary Mason; a stepson, Clarence B. Jones, a step daughter, Mrs. Mary L. 
Thomas, both of New York City; two nieces, Mesdames Sabra Williams and Lillie 
Alexander.

The Rev. R. H. Bowling officiated at the services assisted by other local 
ministers. Solos were sung by Miss Bessie Wright and Humphrey Yarrell. The 
Rev. G. W. Watkins gave consoling remarks tot he bereaved family. Interment 
was in Calvary Cemetery.
