Final rites for Rufus A. Mason were conducted Thursday, March 26 at the Hale 
Funeral Chapel with the Rev. H. T. Myers officiating.

Mr. Mason died March 23 at his residence, 964 Goochland avenue, at the age of 
62.

A native of Norfolk, he had been employed by D. Levitin and Son Furniture 
Company for 25 years.  His parents were the late Robert and Mrs. Mary Mason.  He 
was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Hazel Mason;  eight sons, Andrew, Rufus, Alba, 
Burnett, Duke, Robert, Earl and Leonard Mason;  and three daughters, Miss Rosana 
Mason, Mrs. Olivia Black and Miss Barbara Mason.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale and Company in charge.
