Virginian Pilot Saturday May 11, 1985


Lela Riggin Mason, 96, a native of Crisfield, Md., and the widow of George 
McClellan Mason, died Friday in a nursing home.
Mrs. Mason was a member of Ghent United Methodist Church and the Ghent Women’s 
Bible Class.
Survivors include three daughters, Florence M. Harris of Norfolk, Mary Jane 
Lynch of Greensboro, and Cynthia M. Wilkinson of Richmond; a son, Linford Mason 
of Norfolk; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Forest Lawn 
Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Watts.
The family will be at Cox Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial 
donations may be sent to Ghent United Methodist Church.
