Leroy Mason, 78, of 718 Franklin court, died Sept. 9 at Petersburg, VA.  Funeral
services were held at 2 p.m. Sept. 12, at Goodwill Baptist Church, Norfolk, with
the Rev. W. H. Evans, pastor, officiating.  Miss Alberta Haskins and Charles
West sang songs.  Mr. Mason was a native of Norfolk county.

He is survived by a son, Sherman Manson;  a sister, Mrs. Mary M. Jones;  14
grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, six step-daughters, two step-sons, and
other relatives.

Interment was in Mt. Olive cemetery, with Taylor-Haskins’ Funeral Home in charge.
