Mr. Mastrangelo was born in Norfolk, the son of the late John Joseph Mastrangelo and Evelyn Stubbs Mastrangelo. He resided in Crew, Va., Roanoke, Va. and, for the past 35 years, in Chesapeake. Mr. Mastrangelo was a hospital Corpsman in the U. S. Army; his last duty station was Fort Campbell, Ky., where he met and married his wife, Juanita Fambrough Mastrangelo. Mr. Mastrangelo retired from Norfolk Southern after 34 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and was the secretary for the Southern and Southwestern Railway Club for many years. Mr. Mastrangelo was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Fambrough Mastrangelo. Survivors include his daughter, Charlotte Barbini, and her fiance', Henry Jones, of Chesapeake, three sons; Stan Mastrangelo Jr. and his wife Rita, Stephen Mastrangelo, and Adam Mastrangelo and his wife, Teresa, all of Roanoke, Va. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; Jessica Barbini, Patrick Barbini, Renee Mastrangelo, Andrew Mastrangelo, Angel Bellair, Tara Smith, Derek Mastrangelo, Ashlyn Mastrangelo, Walker Mastrangelo; five great- grandchildren, Cole Strong, Cheyenne Bellair, Emercyn Bellair, Kennedy Bellair, Deaken, Bellair, and a nephew, Thomas Fambrough. A funeral Mass will be held 11:00a.m. Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church by Father Romeo Jazmin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. with a Christian Wake service at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice. H.D.
