Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 7, 1913

Mrs. Lovie Mathews died at her residence, No. 96 Hansan Avenue, at 11:30 a.m. 
yesterday, after a brief illness, in the 69th year of her age.  She is 
survived by a daughter, Miss Lovie Mathews.  Mrs. Mathews was a woman of  
gentle disposition and lovely Christian character and held her membership with 
Trinity M.E. Church, South, where the funeral will be held at 11 o'clock 
Saturday morning.  Interment in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.
