NORFOLK - Delma Matthews Sr. of 2709 Liberia Drive, the husband of Mrs. Mabel
Matthews and a native of Pamlico County, N.C., died Sunday in his home.

He was retired from Elco Lumber Co.

Survivors also include two daughters, Mrs. Vivian Pope and Ms. Yvonne Matthews and
two sons, Vernon T. Matthews and Delma Matthews Jr., all of Norfolk; and nine
grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Graves Funeral Chapel with
burial in Calvary Cemetery. The family will be at 311 W. 35th St.
