Virginian Pilot September 11, 1900

Mrs. Ann Mathews, wife of Mr. Jos. Mathews, died at 8 o'clock yesterday 
morning at her home, in Maryland avenue, Port Norfolk, aged 39 years. Mrs. 
Mathews was a native of England, but had lived in this country about twelve 
years. The funeral will take place at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the 
residence. The interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.

MATTHEWS - At the residence, Port Norfolk, Va., September 10th, 1900, at 8 
o'clock A.M., Mrs. ANN MATTHEWS, beloved wife of Joseph Matthews, aged 39 
years, 5 months.
Funeral services at the residence, on Maryland avenue, Port Norfolk, THIS 
(Tuesday) AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances are 
respectfully invited to attend. Interment Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley.

The funeral of Mrs. Ann Mathews took place yesterday afternoon from the 
residence of her husband, on Maryland avenue, Pinner's Point. The services 
were conducted by Rev. Mr. Hodgins. The remains were interred in the Berkley 
cemetery.
