Marc David Maurelli, 45, of the 1200 block of Hampton Blvd., died Sept. 28, 1998, 
in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Maurelli was a native of New London, Conn., and a resident of Norfolk since 
1966. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk.

Mr. Maurelli was preceded in death by his brother, Michael L. Maurelli. Survivors 
include his mother, Mary Anne Alessi Maurelli, and his father, Louis Maurelli, 
both of Norfolk; seven sisters, Nancy Maurelli of Roanoke, Va., Susan Gale of 
Norfolk, Laura Arango of Woodridge, Va., Carole Baldwin of Norman, Okla., Regina 
Hill of Hampton, Joanne Hults of Lewisburg, W.Va., and Rachel Theo-Maurelli of 
Virginia Beach; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery by the Rev. John Dorgan. The family will receive friends at the funeral 
home Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may take the form 
of contributions to the Alliance for Mental Illness, Pembroke Office Bldg., 
Virginia Beach, Va., or to the charity of the donor's choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apts., Norfolk, is handling the arrangements.
