MAYER - Thursday, January 12th, at 11 p.m., Mrs. M.F. MAYER, beloved wife of 
E.L. Mayer, Esq.
The funeral will be from the residence, No. 10 Washington Street, at 2 p.m. 
on THIS DAY (Saturday) 14th.  Friends and acquaintances are requested to 
attend without further notice.

Mrs. Mary F., wife of Mr. Eugene Mayer, of Mayer & Co., well known hardware 
dealers, died at the residence of her husband at a late hour Thursday night 
from rheumatism of the heart.  Mrs. Mayer was a lady much beloved by a large 
circle of friends and leaves besides her husband four children to mourn her 
loss.  Her  funeral will take place from the residence at 2 o'clock this 
afternoon.

The funeral of Mrs. M.F. Mayer took place from the residence of her husband, 
No. 10 Washington Street, yesterday morning, being attended by a large 
number of friends of the deceased lady.  Rev. Robert Gatewood, rector of St. 
Paul's Church, of which Mrs. Mayer was a member, conducted the funeral 
services, being assisted by Rev .Beverly D. Tucker and Rev. Mr. Tudor.  
After the funeral services the remains were conveyed to Elmwood Cemetery and 
the last sad rites of the church performed.  The following gentlemen acted 
as pallbearers:  Henry Dodge, John M. Hodges, Nathaniel Nichols, G.B. 
Freeman, W.T. Cooke, George McBlair, C.B. Johnson and J.W. Gilmer.
