Rev. T. McN. Simpson, the pastor, officiated, who began the services by announcing the 352d hymn, by request, which was rendered in a most impressive manner by the choir, with Miss Ada Moore presiding at the organ. At the conclusion of the second lesson and also by request, the audience sang that touching and pathetic hymn, "Nearer, My God to Thee." The reverend gentleman paid a striking and just tribute to the deceased. Messrs. Thomas Winingder, James R. Walke, Sr., Savage Baker, John F. Dalby, Sewell and John W.H. Wrenn acted as pallbearers. An honest man has gone to his reward.
