Mayo, at 614 West Thirty-seventh Street, yesterday morning at 3 o'clock after a brief illness. She was the widow of Henry Mayo and daughter of the late Horace L. and Mrs. Susanna Godwin Gray. She was a native of Crittenden and a resident of Norfolk for the past 50 years. She was a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church, of Crittenden. Mrs. Mayo is survived by a daughter, Mrs. F.A. Jones; two sons, H.C. Mayo, of Norfolk and Arthur Mayo, of Portsmouth; three sisters, Mrs. John A. Milteer, of Hobson; Mrs. William Barcalow, of Staten Island and Mrs. L.S. Savage of Washington and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
