The Virginian Pilot (Norfolk) Saturday December 16, 1978
Mrs. Susie Wright Mayo, 87, of 340 Lynn Shores Drive, the widow of Herbert B. 
Mayo and a native of Princess Anne County, died Friday at 1:30 a.m. in a 
hospital.
She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Edna Robertson of Baltimore, Mrs. 
Eleanor Critchett of Pigeon Cove, Mass. and Mrs. Susie Mae Culpepper of 
Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-
great-grandchildren.
A funeral wil be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside 
Chapel, by the Rev. Horace A Culpepper. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, 
Norfolk.
