Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Thursday May 17, 1934

Elverez C. McAllister, aged 54, died at a local hospital yesterday morning at 
8:20 o’clock after a short illness. He was the son of the late Guy W. and Mrs. 
Catherine B. McAllister, a native of Norfolk and had resided here all of his 
life. Surviving him are a sister, Mrs. John J. Jones of Los Angeles, and 
several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to the funeral home of James 
V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road, pending funeral arrangements.
