Funeral services were held recently for Mrs. Georgie McBride at First Calvary
Baptist Church with the Rev. C. E. Griffin, D.D. officiating.  Mrs. McBride
lived at 1242 Roscoe street.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, the United Order of Tents, the Daughter
Elks, the Tidewater Wholesale Food Club, the YWCA, and the Credit Union.  Mrs.
McBride was also a member of First Calvary Baptist Church Usher Board.

She is survived by her husband, Otis McBride;  two brothers, John Willis of New
York City, and Edward Willis of Bayside, VA;  four sisters, Miss Mary Willis of
Norfolk, Mrs. Sophia Willis, Mrs. Dora Brickhouse, and Mrs. Elizabeth Cornick
all of Bayside, VA;  and several nieces and nephews.  Interment was in Calvary
cemetery with King’s funeral home in charge.
