Sister Lucia McCabe died yesterday morning at St. Vincent’s hospital from 
pneumonia after a week’s illness.

Sister Lucia, one of the teachers at St. Mary’s Academy for Girls and Young 
Ladies, and had only been in Norfolk about three months. She came to this city 
from Baltimore which is also her home city. She was just 22 years old, but had 
showed marked ability and was highly educated.

She is a member of the well-known McCabe family of Baltimore, and it is said that 
she has a sister, who is also a sister of charity. She is also survived by a 
brother.

The funeral will be held at Saint Vincent's hospital Monday morning at 9 o'clock 
and the interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
