McCann, died Sunday at 6:40 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital. A native of Shawnee, Ohio, she lived here five years and in Norfolk 15 years. She was a daughter of Jay Eddley and Mrs. Willie Hester Elkins. She was a practical nurse and a Catholic. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Jean Hurley of New Sarpy, La.; a son, Carl J. McCann of Brooklyn, two sisters, Miss Hazel H. Elkins of South Norfolk and Mrs. Antha Meadows of Logan, W.Va.; three brothers, Freddie J. Elkins of Midway Ova, Conn., Clarence Taylor Elkins of Logan, and Kelly Elkins of South Norfolk; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9.
