Barbara Hudgins McCarrick, 83, passed away surrounded by her family Nov. 7, 2016.

She was born in Norfolk, VA, and was the daughter of the late Walter G. Hudgins 
and Hazal Callis Hudgins. Barbara was also preceded in death by her beloved 
husband, George C. McCarrick Jr.; and a son, Kenny McCarrick.

Barbara was a homemaker and member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She 
worked as a Receptionist at Home Quarters Warehouse.

Barbara is survived by 2 sons, George C. McCarrick III and Craig C. McCarrick; 2 
grandchildren, Michelle and Kaynon; brother-in-law, Joe Trammel; and 2 nieces, 
Debbie Blackstock and Chrissy Peele.

The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, 
on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 
a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by the Rev. 
Fr. John Peck. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Memorial donations may 
be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd, 
Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Condolences may be offered to the family at
