John F. Sale, of the Norfolk Juniors, 12th Va., Regiment, and of private A. David McCarrick, of Norfolk Light Artillery Blues, will arrive in Norfolk on Saturday, the 16th inst., by the Richmond steamer, and will be entered from St. Mary’s Church on Sunday morning, at 11 o’clock. The surviving members of the 12th Va., Reg’t, and of their respective companies and all other friends are requested to attend without further notice. Lieut. John F. Sale, whose remains will be brought down from Richmond on Saturday next, was wounded in the battle of Hatcher’s Run, on the 6th, and died on the 12th of February, 1865, in the 23rd year of his age. Private A. David McCarrick, youngest son of Capt. P. McCarrick of this city, died in Petersburg on the 26th of August, 1865, from sickness caused by the fatigue and exposure of camp life.
