Mrs. Mary Margaret McCarrick, wife of James Alston McCarrick, died at the family 
residence, 522 Graydon avenue yesterday afternoon at 4:25 o’clock. Mrs. 
McCarrick was in the 40th year of her age.
She had been a resident of Norfolk for twelve years and was well known.  She was 
a native of Atlanta. Besides her husband, she is survived by twelve children and 
three sisters. The latter are: Mrs. Hugh Lynch and Miss Kate Cannon, of Atlanta, 
and Sister Imelda, a Sister of Mercy, of Savannah.
The funeral will take place from the Sacred Heart Catholic church Friday morning 
at 10:30 o’clock.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Margaret McCarrick, wife of James Alston McCarrick, was 
held from the Sacred Heart Catholic church at 10:30 o’clock yesterday and was 
largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. Father R. A. Drake. Seated 
in the sanctuary were A. J. Halublick, of the Sacred Heart church, and Rev. 
Father J. J. Doherty, of St. Mary’s church. A touching feature of the service 
was that in the casket with its mother was her infant child, only ten days old, 
that died Thursday afternoon. There was a wealth of the most beautiful floral 
tributes. The interment was in St. Mary’s cemetery.
The following were the pallbearers: Victor Parks, Hartwell Harrison, W. E. 
Lawrence, J. W. Calvert, J. Elliott Heath, John Palmer, William Lee and J. W. De 
Jarnette.
