Norfolk Ledger Dispatch October 15, 1918

 McCARTY  - In this city, on October 13 and 14, 1918, THOMAS H. McCARTY, aged 36 
years, and his daughter, CHARLOTTE O'NEILL McCARTY, aged 5 years.
Services private at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, Nos. 610-12 East Freemason 
Street, WEDNESDAY afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.

                       DEATH OF FATHER AND DAUGHTER

Thomas H. McCarty and his daughter, Charlotte O'Neill, of 200 Park Avenue, died, 
the father on Sunday and the daughter on Monday, the former aged 36 years and 
the latter five years. The funeral takes place at H.D. Oliver's Funeral 
Apartments, 610-12 E. Freemason Street, Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. Burial in St. 
Mary's Cemetery.

The funeral of Thomas H. McCarty and his daughter, Miss Charlotte O'Neal, took 
place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Oliver’s funeral apartments on 
Freemason street. Services were conducted by Rev. R. B. Kealy. Interment was in 
St. Mary's cemetery; the pallbearers being Fletcher Burger, William Lutz, James 
Eggleston, Cecil Banks, Thomas Jenkins and Guy Banks.
