Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 22, 1954

Mrs. Mary Theresa McCauley, 88, widow of Rhody McCauley and daughter of Owen and 
Mrs. Mary Jacobs Corcoran, a lifelong resident of this section, died at the 
residence, 1226 Brookside Avenue, Broad Creek Village, yesterday at 7 p.m.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Aileen  McKown; two sons, William A. and 
David C. McCauley, all of Norfolk; seven grandchildren and 16 great 
grandchildren
The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church, of which Mrs. McCauley was a member, for funeral services 
Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be 
held at the funeral apartments Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

McCAULEY, MARY THERESA - At the residence 1226 Brookside Avenue, Broad Creek 
Village, Tuesday, September 21, 1954, at 7 p.m., MARY THERESA McCAULEY, widow of 
Rhody Roger McCauley and daughter of the late Owen and Mary Jacobs Corcoran, in 
the 89th year of her age. Remains will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church for services 
FRIDAY MORNING, at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. 
Interment, St. Mary’s Cemetery.
