Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, January 25, 1998 
Azalie McClain of the 800 block of Virginia Beach Blvd. died Jan. 22, 1998.

Born in Darlington, S.C., she was the widow of Taff McClain and a retired
domestic. Mrs. McClain was a member of Shiloh African Methodist Episcopal
Church, Darlington, S.C. She attended Greater Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church,
Norfolk.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Shirley McDaniel of Darlington; a sister,
Lois Douglas of Norfolk; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mrs.
McClain also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Greater Metropolitan A.M.E.
Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. G. Bernard Crawford. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . Graves Funeral Home is in charge. The family will receive friends at
928 Madison Ave., Norfolk.
