Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday August 3, 1949


Miss Viola Scott McClanan, daughter of the late Walter Scott and Mrs. 
Melissa Campbell McClanan, died at the residence, 20 York Apartments, 
yesterday at 11:10 a.m. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Inez I. 
McClanan, of Norfolk, and Mrs. William Massey Scott, of Baltimore; a 
brother, John Henry McClanan, of Princess Anne County.
Miss McClanan was a native of Princess Anne County and had lived in Norfolk 
most of her life. She was a member of Epworth Methodist Church.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home.
