Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 3, 1936
Margaret Ann McClanan, 10-day-old daughter of W.W. McClanan, Jr. and Elizabeth 
Porterfield McClanan, died at a local hospital Saturday night at 11:45 o'clock.  
Besides her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ora Land 
McClanan, of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.B. Porterfield, 
of Glade Springs, Va. and her great-grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Land, of Virginia 
Beach.
Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Forest Lawn Cemetery yesterday 
afternoon at 3 o'clock by the Rev. B.B. Bland, pastor of the Virginia Beach 
Methodist Church.  The casket was covered with a pall of yellow and white roses.

Correct date is Feb. 1, 1936
