Mrs. McClenney was born in Norfolk and was retired from Aetna Insurance Co. She was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church; member and vice president of the (NU)2 Usher Board; member and past president of the Floral Club; secretary of the Senior Missionaries; member of the Sunday School; Pastor's Aide; and was a dutiful church worker. She was a member of United Order of Tents, Lidia's Jewel (NU)265, and served as recording secretary. Survivors include one daughter, Wheela McClenney and one son, Eugene McClenney, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Nancy Mullen and Vivian B. Mullen, both of Norfolk; three brothers, James L. Mullen Jr. and Robert H. Mullen of Chicago and Manuel P. Mullen of Norfolk; two grandchildren; and one aunt, Sue Fortune of Brooklyn, N.Y. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, in Jerusalem Baptist Church by Dr. Thomas Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family at the residence.
