Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, June 21, 1999 
Carlyle Turner McCloud, 91, of the 3900 block of Prince William Parkway, died 
June 19, 1999, in his residence.
 Mr. McCloud was a native of South Norfolk and lived most of his life in 
Virginia Beach. His ancestors settled in Princess Anne County during Colonial 
times. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Foskett McCloud.
 Mr. McCloud was a graduate of Elon College, N.C., and retired as chief chemist 
of the F.S. Royster Co. in 1969.
 Survivors include a son, John Alonzo McCloud and his wife, Carole, of 
Manassas, Va.; two granddaughters, Sarah A. McCloud of Germantown, Md., and 
Carolyn Paterno of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandson, Christopher John 
Paterno.
 A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Cemetery. 
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. H.D.Oliver 
Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
