The Virginian Pilot Monday November 3, 1969
AYDLETT, N.C. - Alonza McCloud, 60, died in Albemarle Hospital, Elizabeth 
City, Sunday morning.
A native of South Norfolk, he lived here 35 years.  He was the keeper of 
Monkey's Island Hunting Lodge on Church Island, Currituck County.
He was a son of the late John A. and Mrs. Gertrude Matthews McCloud.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. F.M. Hendricks Jr. of Norfolk; and a brother, 
Carlile T. McCloud of Virginia Beach.
The body was taken to Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk, 
Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Magnolia Cemetery, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Willis Joiner.
