Virginian Pilot April 9, 1909
Mrs, Annie L. McCloud, wife of Eugene McCloud, died yesterday morning at 4:30 
o'clock at the family residence, 608 West Liberty street, after a week's illness 
of pneumonia. The deceased was in the 49th year of her age and was a daughter of 
the late Marcellus and Mrs. Elizabeth George.  She was born in the old George 
residence, South Norfolk, where she lived until 21 years of age, when she came 
to Berkley.
Mrs. McCloud was one of the best known ladies of the community and was highly 
respected.  She is survived by her husband, four sons, F.R., H.M., Samuel and 
Frank McCloud; four daughters, Mrs. F.A. Sarr, San Diego, Cal.; Mrs. W.A. Tatum, 
Mrs. A.W. Hathaway and Miss Lillian McCloud, and a mother, Mrs. Elizabeth 
George; one sister, Mrs. George Vellines; three brothers, James George, South 
Norfolk; Pirus and William George, Norfolk proper.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock and 
interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Rev. M.L. Bryant, pastor of Main Street Christian Church, will officiate.

The funeral of Mrs. Annie L. McCloud, wife of Eugene McCloud, was conducted from 
the residence, 608 West Liberty street, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.  Rev. 
M.L. Bryant, pastor of Main Street Christian Church, conducted the services.
The attendance was very large and the floral designs were numerous and 
beautiful.
The body was interred in Magnolia Cemetery.
