Norfolk Ledger Dispatch December 22, 1927

                            Death of Mr. McCloud

John Allen McCloud, aged 33 years, died suddenly last night at 10:45 o'clock at 
his home, 66 Liberty Street, South Norfolk. He was born in South Norfolk, a son 
of the late J.A. and Mrs. Ella Matthews McCloud. He is survived by his wife, 
Mrs. Hilda M. McCloud; two children, Rose Marie and J.A. McCloud, Jr.; six 
brothers, Horace Wirth McCloud, of Boston, Mass.; Frank R. McCloud of Aydlette, 
N.C. and Lee, Carlisle T., Alonzo and Thomas J. McCloud, of Norfolk; and one 
sister, Miss Helen McCloud of Norfolk. The body was taken to the funeral home of 
J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk where funeral services will 
be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
